Script, names and institutional terminology
Russian-language material can originate from different countries and legal systems. Identify the issuing country and intended recipient, and provide passport spellings for people named in the record. Earlier versions, amendments and attachments are kept distinct so the English reader can follow the documentary sequence.
Certification and intended use
The CIOL directory lists English-to-Russian translation among the registered services. Certification wording and format are scoped for the receiving organisation. A Polish sworn appointment for Russian is not represented by the Ukrainian registration shown here.
What to provide for a quotation
Send the complete document, including the reverse, seals, handwritten entries and attachments. State the source and target language, the receiving organisation, your deadline and whether you need an electronic file, paper copies or a particular certification statement. For a bundle, identify the documents to translate and keep the existing pagination.
A consistent commission
For connected documents, provide the approved spellings of personal and company names and identify earlier translations to be followed. Terminology, included material, delivery and price are agreed for the individual commission.
